What types of programs and courses are available through Berkeley College Continuing Education? 

Anyone looking to upskill, reskill, or enhance their career prospects can enroll in a continuing education Certificate Program or a Continuing Education standalone course.  There is no application required.

Is there a payment plan for the Continuing Education Certificate Programs? 

Students have the option of paying for one course or two courses as they take them.  Once they have paid for their courses, they are added to their courses. 

Where are the continuing education courses held? 

Most courses are offered online.  The Interior Design, Phlebotomy, EKG, and CSI Forensics Certificate programs may have in-person sections.  Check individual course details for specifics on the CE website - https://ce.berkeleycollege.edu/

How long does it take to complete a Continuing Education Certificate program? 

That depends on the Certificate Program.  Most programs can be completed in two semesters.  For more details, view the Certificate Programs. 

Can credits earned in Continuing Education programs be applied toward a degree at Berkeley College? 

Yes, credits from many Continuing Education programs may be applied toward degree programs at Berkeley College, helping you to advance to an Associate’s, Bachelor’s, or even a Master’s degree. These college credits may be applied once a student has gone through the formal degree application process and received acceptance. Note: Only graduate courses with an earned grade of “B” or better will count toward Berkeley College’s MBA degree requirements.

Is it possible to apply for a Visa for a Continuing Education program? 

A student visa is not an option for any of our Continuing Education Certificate Programs/courses

Continuing Education (CE) Enrollment and Admission

Do I need to be a Berkeley College student to enroll in Continuing Education courses? 

No, CE courses are open to the public, and you do not need to be a degree-seeking student at Berkeley College to enroll in CE courses.

How do I register for a continuing course? 

Registration/payment can be completed through the Berkeley College CE website by clicking on a Certificate Program or a standalone course, clicking on “Add to Cart” and following the next steps. 

Is there an application process for Continuing Education programs? 

Our Continuing Education programs do not require an application/an application fee 

What support services are available to Continuing Education students? 

Berkeley College provides various support services, including tutoring, workshops, and access to the Center for Academic Success, to assist Continuing Education students throughout their studies. 

Fees and Payments 

What is the cost of the Continuing Education courses? 

Course fees vary depending on the program. Check the specific Certificate Program or a standalone course page for the tuition fee. 

Are there any discounts or financial aid options? 

No

Continuing Education Course Logistics 

When do continuing education courses start? 

Start dates vary by course.  Visit our Certificate Program page or a standalone course pages to see the specific course dates. 

How long do the continuing education courses take to complete? 

Some courses will be seven weeks long while other courses will be 15 weeks. 

Are the Continuing Education courses self-paced or instructor-led?

Continuing Education Certificates and Credentials 

Will I receive a continuing education certificate after completing a Certificate? 

Yes, you will receive a certificate of completion once the Office of the Registrar verifies that you have completed each course in the certificate. 

Will I earn college credits for the continuing education Certificate Programs or standalone courses? 

Yes, you can see the number of credits you will earn on the Certificate Program or a standalone course page.

Can these courses help me earn CEUs (Continuing Education Units)? 

No.
